Young Talent Taking Action


The Vacaville Youth Round Table (YRT) serves as a clearinghouse and forum for discussions of community youth issues as well as a 'think tank" for research and development of programs that are operated by other entities, such as a City department, School District, or community-based organizations. Participants include representatives from the City of Vacaville, area school districts, County departments, local businesses, churches, and community-based health organizations.

VACAVILLE YOUTH ROUNDTABLE

Vacaville REACH Coalition

The Vacaville REACH Youth Coalition is a community service organization made for youth. REACH is a part of the Vacaville Police Department, Youth Services Section.

The goal of REACH is to focus on improving youth safety in the community and increasing youth access to resources. We address issues that are important to youth such as improving the Rocky Hill Trail, bike trail clean ups, providing education on drugs and alcohol, and working in partnerships to put on Teen Summits and Policy Forums.

The Vacaville REACH Coalition promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all youth.

Our Vision

To advocate for policies and systems changes that unleash the power and potential for all youth to succeed.

Our Goal

We strive to increase youth safety in the community and connect youth to existing resources.

Youth Master Plan (YMP)

Vacaville REACH Coalition is working to implement the YMP to address the needs of today’s youth ages 0-24.

Meet Andrea, our Youth Services Section Program Coordinator!

I grew up in Vacaville, which makes me all the more excited to be a part of the Vacaville Police Department. I attended Padan Elementary, Vaca Peña, and Will C. Wood. I then went to Solano Community College and made my way to finish my undergrad at Sacramento State. For the past five years I have worked for the Parks and Recreation department with the City of Vacaville. Now, I am beyond excited to be a part of the Police Department.

Meet Michelle, our Youth Services Section Intern!

My name is Michelle Delgado, and I am the newest Student Intern hired by the department. I have lived in Vacaville my entire life, so I’m really excited to have this opportunity to give back. I expect to learn a lot during my internship here and I hope together we can accomplish great things! Currently I am an undergraduate student at UC Davis, entering my senior year. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Meet Judith, our Youth Development Manager!

My name is Judith Franco. I’m the Youth Development Manager for youth programs within the Vacaville Police Department. I’m an animal lover and overall caring person. I grew up in Vacaville since the age of 12 which is why I love my community. I have a passion for working with young people and building them up. Being a mentor is what I strive to do. It was mentors that helped me get where I am now and I wish to continue to follow that legacy.
